Campaigners for a safe crossing over the N4 in Collooney are calling for a pedestrian bridge to be included in any plans of the proposed N17 Knock to Collooney route.
A shortlist of options is available for public consultation.
Sinn Fein Councillor Thomas Healy says Collooney is divided by the N4, and a safe area for people to cross is urgently needed.
He says there had been calls for a safe crossing of the N4 since before the N4 Collooney to Castlebaldwin dual-carriageway project got under way.
