Over €60,000 for development of community gardens



Over €60,000 has been allocated under CLÁR funding for the development of community gardens and spaces in Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.

The majority, €50,000 is going towards Bruckless Community Park for the development of a sensory space, enhanced seating and eating spaces and a designated outdoor BBQ area.

A further €8,190 to landscape an area at the back of the community centre in Rossinver, Co. Leitrim and creating raised beds for
use with the local school.

While Bernie Finan, Biodiversity officer with Achonry/Mullinabreena Community Enhancement Group says €5,040 has been given for the purchase of polytunnel and raised beds.

He says the polytunnels will be beneficial for the local school.
