Labour leader visits Sligo: Alan Kelly says Sinn Fein is not a Left-wing party

The leader of the Labour Party says he does not regard Sinn Fein as a Left-wing party.

Alan Kelly was speaking while on a visit to Sligo yesterday afternoon during which he met with local party members and officials.

It was one of his first visits outside Dublin or his home county of Tipperary since the Covid pandemic struck.

Despite a long Labour and Left-wing tradition in Sligo, the party has no Dail representation from the region, an issue — among others — that he addressed during an interview with Ocean FM’s Harry Keaney.
