Sligo Garda Community Engagement Unit along with Riverstown Garda Station are hosting a property marking event this (Saturday) morning, between 10am and 1pm.
It will take place at the Homeland Agri Store in Riverstown.
Marked property is easier to return to owners. Marking property also leaves valuables less attractive to thieves.
Items that could be marked include farm equipment and machinery, trailers, garage and garden tools, power tools, golf clubs and bicycles.
However, the marking machine cannot be used to mark items made of glass as the glass will shatter.
