Large uptake of vaccinations is allowing restrictions to ease



Public Transport in the North West will return to full capacity from today.  It’s the first time full capacity will be restored on buses, trains and trams since the start of the pandemic.

 

The Government have announced almost all Covid-19 restrictions will end on October 22nd.

From next Monday, larger crowds can attend the likes of religious ceremonies and concerts, while communions and confirmations will also return.

 

Workers will start going back to offices from September 20th, while indoor and outdoor group activities will also be allowed again.

 

Minister for state at the Department of Health, Sligo Leitrim TD Frank Feighan says the large uptake of vaccinations by the public is a major contributing factor in the easing of further restrictions:
