McGranaghan calls for publication of dates for reopening of music sector

A renowned Donegal traditional fiddle player who’s a member of the Music and Entertainment Association of Ireland says the government’s plan to be announced today for the further easing of Covid-19 restrictions must include specific targets and dates.

Yesterday, representatives from the music and entertainment sector met with the Taoiseach, the Tanaiste and the Minister for Arts and Culture Catherine Martin.

Matt McGranaghan says the plan for the lifting of restrictions must include dates for when the entertainment and music sector can reopen and an outline of a path to 100% audience capacity

Matt McGranaghan also says the government must suport the sector during what will be a phased reopening.
