Jordan Gibson leaves Sligo Rovers



Jordon Gibson has left Sligo Rovers to return to the English Football League.

He’s joining League Two side Carlisle United for an undisclosed fee.

In a statement on the Rovers website on Monday afternoon, manager Liam Buckley explained that that Gibson had always sought a return to England and the deal was the that Rovers would help him with that if the right offer came along.

He’s signed a two year deal with Carlisle who are 12th in League Two.

Gibson has played in every league game this season for Sligo Rovers to date – and scored in seven consecutive games in the early part of the season.
