Donegal GP calls for those socialising indoors to get vaccinated

A Donegal GP says he believes that the easing of further Covid-19 restrictions will only be successful if those socialising indoors are vaccinated.

The Cabinet sub-committee on Covid-19 meet later to discuss the final phase of reopening society and the economy.

The roadmap is to be published tomorrow, with particular emphasis expected on the return of live events and the reopening of offices.

However, no major changes are believed to be happening until the third week of September.

Dr Denis McCauley, chair of the Irish Medical Organisation’s GP Committee – he believes the government’s roadmap to reopening will only work if those who wish to socialise indoors receive their vaccinations.
