Major walk in Sligo highlights the importance of men’s mental health



A major fundraising event staged in Sligo yesterday to help raise awareness around men’s mental health.

 

The event which was coordinated by the Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council, Paul Taylor, and was ran in partnership with Sligo County Council and took place on the new stretch of the N4 road between Collooney and Castlebaldwin.

 

Proceeds from yesterday’s walk, run and cycle were donated to the North West Stop and GRASP Life charities and an Oak Tree was planted to symbolise hope.

 

The event also gave those that took part an opportunity to view the impressive new stretch of the N4.

 

Speaking at yesterday even the Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council, Cllr/. Paul Taylor stressed the importance of promoting positive mental health among men.
