Leitrim residents encouraged to apply for Commuity Involvement Scheme funding

Local communities in Leitrim with roads needing repair or upgrade are being urged to apply to the county council for funding under the Community Involvement Scheme.

Local communities will have to make a monetary contribution of between 10 and 20 per cent toward the cost of the work, which will be decided by the council

Darragh O Boyle, district engineer with Leitrim County Council, says it’s an opportunity for people to get work done on local roads that are not part of the council’s general roadworks programme.
