Direct access to the sea in Tullaghan expected by 2023

It’s hoped Co. Leitrim will have direct access to the sea by mid 2023.

Leitrim County Council recently purchased land in Tullaghan with the aim of building a scenic area with ocean access along Ireland’s shortest coastline.

Fianna Fail Councillor, Justin Warnock says there are numerous tourism options available such as being officially a part of the wild atlantic way and an ideal location for surfer in the Autumn and Winter months.

Councillor Warnock says first and foremost it will benefit the local community with hopes it can be further developed for tourism initiatives.
