People need to be given choice in attending live events

A local musician has welcomed clarity surrounding guidelines on outdoor events and says people need to be given the choice to attend live events.

Taoiseach Micheal Martin said ‘further clarity and consistency’ was required and in a statement he ‘expressed his regret at attending the Merrion Hotel outdoor event’.

The Business Post reports that Failte Ireland was unable to get clarity from the Government on the rules for outdoor dining in the weeks before the party controversy.

Sligo musician, Kieran Quinn says with the vaccination programme’s success, a point has to come to allow people to make their own choice when it comes to attending events.
