A total of 37 people are waiting for beds on trolleys or chairs in Sligo and Letterkenny University Hospitals today.
The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation’s Trolley Watch figures show 18 patients are waiting in Sligo University Hospital, 12 of who are in the emergency department.
A further 19 are waiting in Letterkenny University Hospital, with 4 in the emergency department.
Latest HSE figures show 13 patients with Covid-19 are in Sligo and 6 in Letterkenny; both hospitals have two patients each in their respective Intensive Care Units.
A total of 291 people are waiting in Irish hospitals today, the worst hit being Limerick University Hospital where 51 patients are waiting for a bed.
