Approval has been ganted for new Gaelscoil building in Manorhamilton.
The decision has been announced today by the Minister for Education, Norma Foley.
The new building will include a 5-classroom primary school with GP Hall and 1 Class special education needs base.
Minister of State and Sligo/Leitrim TD Frank Feighan said the local Gaelscoil committee in Manorhamilton had been campaigning for a new building for Gaelscoil Chluainín for a number of years.
He said the current building is not fit for purpose.
The next step now will be the planning stage for the new building.
Minister Feighan said he understands a site has been purchased at Amorset on the Bundoran Road.
