Donegal priest calls for justice and sense when it comes to fishing and Brexit

The Government must immediately address the unbalanced distribution of fishing quotas and costs to Irish fishers.

Fr. John Joe Duffy is making the call as the country is paying €43m out of a total of €164m to the UK as part of Brexit negotiations.

He says there are 11 coastal countries in the European Union and the fact that ireland is paying more than 25% of the total amount needs to be adjusted.

Speaking to OceanFM News, Fr. Duffy says it’s very unjust and makes no sense.
