Sligo University Hospital second most overcrowded nationally today



There are 26 patients waiting for a bed in Sligo University Hospital today making it the 2nd most overcrowded in the country.

17 are waiting in the Emergency Department and a further 9 elsewhere in the hospital according to the latest Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation’s Trolley Watch figures.

The numbers are also high in Letterkenny University Hospital with 18 patients waiting; 4 in the Emergency Department and 14 elsewhere.

The worst hit once again is University Hospital Limerick where 37 people are being forced to wait for a bed.

249 people in total are waiting in Irish Hospitals for a bed today.
