More LIS money for NW roads

There has been a further increase in funding for roads under the Local Improvement Scheme.

It follows councillors across Sligo, Leitrim, and Donegal calling for extra funding to meet demand from people in rural areas, including farmers who are on waiting lists for funding.

The money is to repair or maintain private roads, usually in rural areas, that serve a small number of people or farmers attending their farms.

Sligo/Leitrim Fine Gael TD Frank Feighan outlined the amounts coming to the north west.
