Motorists are advised to avoid N4-N15 dual carriageway from Hughes Bridge in Sligo town from next week as road surfacing works taking place are expected to cause significant delays.
They will begin from Monday the 12th until Saturday the 17th of July from 3pm each day with traffic diversions in place.
Emer Concannon, Acting Director of Services with Sligo County Council says by Monday the 19th, the majority of lanes are expected to be open
She tells OceanFM News that the majority of diversions will be for south bound traffic.
Emer says the ‘Urban Traffic Control System’ will be installed over the coming weeks which aims to improve the flow of traffic.
