Hopes for National Novena at Knock Shrine to take place later this year

It’s hoped the National Novena at Knock Shrine will return later this year.

The event was due to take place from the 14th to the 22nd of August this year with Parish Priest and Rector, Fr. Richard Gibbons, saying the decision was made in the ‘interest of public safety.’

Marketing and Communications Manager, Maria Casey says the Shrine is open to the public including the celebration of daily Mass, with limited numbers, Confessions and other religious servcies.

Speaking to OceanFM News, she says there is a wide range of safety procedures in place.
