Leitrim lose women’s league final



There was disappointment for the Leitrim women’s gaelic footballers on Sunday in Clones as they went down to a goal-hungry Louth side in their Division 4 league final, on a final scoreline of 4-9 to 1-14.

The Louth goals did the damage in this game, as Leitrim found themselves chasing the contest for much of the hour.

The result seals promotion for Louth – while Leitrim, despite, winning all their round-robin games, remain in the bottom division for next season.
