Some students left high and dry by Northern Ireland’s minister of Economy



It’s emerged that students from Northern Ireland studying in Colleges such as IT Sligo and Letterkenny IT have been left behind by the Minister of Economy.

 

Sinn Fein MLA Jemma Dolan says Students from the north studying in Britain or in the 26 counties have received no support from the Department of the Economy.

 

 

Concern has been raised north of the border that many students studying full time in Further Education Colleges did not receive the £500 Covid-19 disruption payments because of how the scheme was designed.

 

The Sinn Fein MLA says it’s also very unfair for students in further education that also have been excluded:
