Sligo team named for Mayo game



Tony McEntee has named his Sligo team for Saturday’s Connacht senior football championship opener against Mayo at Markievicz Park.

The side shows several changes from the team that lost to Wexford in the recent Division 4 shield final.

Last year’s captain Paddy O’Connor and St Mary’s Nathan Rooney both start, as does his Rooney’s clubmate Ryan Feehily.

There are no players from county champions, Tourlestrane, listed in the programme starting fifteen, although this could  change come matchday.

The Sligo team named for Saturday’s match programme is:

Saturday’s game will be live in full on Ocean FM Sport from 4.30pm, in association with Oates Breheny Mortgage Services, with commentary from Cathal Mullaney and Con O’Meara.
