Sligo hurlers collect Division 3A league title

Sligo hurlers rounded off an impressive Allianz Division 3A league campaign on Saturday with a spirited 0-21 to 0-19 victory against Monaghan in Inniskeen.

Padraig Mannion’s side had already clinched the league the previous weekend, following their win against Tyrone in Omagh – but the team ensured they completed an unbeaten run in Division 3 with this fourth consecutive victory.

Afterwards, team captain Niall Feehily received the cup from Connacht Council President John Murphy.

Sligo now prepare for their Christy Ring Cup opener against Offaly at Markievicz Park next month.
