Blueprints to be designed for Strandhill and Rosses Point projects

Funding has been secured to hire a design consultant to prepare blueprints for a public enhancement scheme for Strandhill and Rosses Point Villages.

Allocated under the Rural Regeneration and Development fund, the aim is to develop the likes of safe cycle and pedestrian ways and enhancing connections between amenities.

Sligo Fine Gael Councillor, Thomas Walsh is welcoming the news saying this will put the villages into Part 8 of the scheme.

Speaking to OceanFM News, the Cathaoirleach of Sligo Drumcliffe Municipal District says it is essentially a ‘reimagining’ of the villages.
