Clarke calls for Sligo Tourism Infrastructural Masterplan

A Sligo councillor says there’s a need for a Tourism Infrastructural Masterplan for the county.

Independent Councillor Michael Clarke says every so often discussions arise about issues such as toilet facilities, parking for campervans and other vehicles, road access and signage.

But he says there’s a need for an overall masterplan which, he suggests, could then be used for funding applications for various facilities and infrastructure.

Cllr Clarke says tourism infrastructure is particularly badly needed in west Sligo.
