Concern about UK-Australia beef deal



While the Dáil debate around the Climate Change Bill is dominating the agenda for many farmers, the recent development in relation to a possible ‘third county deal between the UK and Australia is still being digested by many Irish farming organisations.

It’s been claimed any possible deal between the UK and Australia could have disastrous consequences for beef farmers here.

IFA President Tim Cullinan says Bord Bia needs to act now to establish alternative markets for Irish beef.

The Tipperary farming official says third country deals were always an option for the UK since the Brexit deal was signed.
