Large numbers from North West expected to take part in mica rally



The cabinet will today discuss the Mica redress scheme ahead of a planned large protest in Dublin which will include large numbers of people from Donegal, Sligo, and Mayo.

 

TDs will discuss a motion this evening calling for the redress scheme for the defective house blocks to be extended from a maximum of 90 to 100% of the costs.

 

There’s no formal memo on the issue on the cabinet agenda, but it’ll likely be discussed by Ministers as the government formulates a response.
