There is sadness and disappointment in the south Donegal area over the closure of one of the area’s prime tourist attractions, the Killybegs Maritime and Carpet-Making Heritage Centre in Killybegs.
More than 75,000 people have visited the centre in the past 15 years.
It’s understood the closure is as a result of the building having been sold.
Clare Tully, of The Ritz Accommodation in Killybegs, was involved in the running of the centre through a committee that ran a company limited by guarantee.
She outlined the background to what has happened to Ocean FM News.
She says they had to leave the centre building last week.
