Donegal booked their place in the semi-finals of the Lidl national football league thanks to a highly impressive 4-21 to 2–11 win against Galway in Tuam on Sunday.
The result sees Donegal top Group A and they’ll play Cork in next weekend’s semi-final.
Geraldine McLaughlin (2-7) and Karen Guthrie (2-4) were Donegal’s top scorers as they established a 4-8 to 0-9 first-half lead, and never looked back after that.
Donegal’s running game caused Galway all sorts of problems with team captain Niamh McLaughlin impressing at centre forward.
Donegal will be Cork in their semi-final next Saturday.
It’s Dublin against Mayo in the other Division 1 semi-final.
