Donegal councillor suggests linking life buoys to GPS

A south Donegal councillor is calling for the latest GPS technology be used to help the emergency services locate lifebuoys.

Fine Gael Cllr Barry Sweeney says this would also help to prevent the removal and vandalising of life buoys.

Cllr Sweeney’s proposal is for Donegal County Council liaise with the emergency services to help them link with the GPS system.
