Fixing mica-hit homes in Donegal could cost billions, says councillor



It could cost billions of euro to fix the problems being caused to homes in Donegal by defective mica blocks, according to one local councillor.

Thousands of houses are affected with councillors unanimously voting in favour of a 100 per cent government redress scheme today.

Jack Murray, a representative for Buncrana-Lifford, says some homes are “literally falling down”.

He feels the government has to step in and take action;
