Donegal IFA chairman demands 100% Mica redress

The Donegal IFA Chairperson is joining calls for a 100% redress scheme for those impacted by defective Mica blocks.

Protests took place in Donegal and Mayo recently by those affected by Mica and Pyrite.

Sligo County Council recently commissioned a report to establish how bad the problem was in the county with initial reports suggesting upwards of 170 houses are impacted by Pyrite.

The issue is expected to be discussed at length at today’s meeting of Donegal County Council.

A protest will be staged at the convention centre in Dublin on June 15th to highlight the issue

Donegal IFA Chairperson, Brendan McLaughlin says it’s a ‘crisis’ and the government and local authorities must play their part in addressing the problem.
