A man in his 20s has been charged in relation to a stabbing incident which occurred in Sligo town yesterday.
The man was arrested by Gardaí from Sligo shortly after the incident occurred.
Local Garda were assisted by the Armed Support Unit from Ballyshannon.
The man was brought to Ballymote Garda Station and was detained there for questioning.
He has appeared in Court in Sligo and has been remanded in custody.
The man will appear again before the courts in the near future.
