Repair and safety works need to be carried out at Mermaids Cove by Mullaghmore Beach.
Independent Sligo Councillor, Marie Casserly is calling for the works to be carried out saying there is a temporary solution in place for a long time and something more permanent is needed.
The Council are to carry out an assessment of the area but did clarify that there is no funding in this years Roadworks Programme.
Speaking to OceanFM News, Councillor Casserly says the wall has fallen into disrepair and the area is becoming unsightly.
