Community groups in Donegal are being encouraged to apply for funding under the Community Enhancement Programme.
There are two set of grants; one is for large capital grants of between €5,000 to €10,000 toward projects or equipment.
There are also small grants of between €500 to €1,000 which can cover once-off items associated with the reopening of a facility or the sustainability of a facility to include costs from 1st January 2021, such as utility bills.
Independent Councillor Niamh Kennedy, chairperson of Donegal Local Community Development Committee, is encouraging community groups to apply for the funding.
She says it is focusing on helping these groups reopen and restart as we emerge from the pandemic.
