Council to examine providing pedestrian crossing in Carraroe



The local authority in Sligo have given a commitment to carry out an assessment on the possibility of the provision of a pedestrian crossing in the Carraroe Centre.

 

 

Cathaoirleach of Sligo Drumcliffe Municipal District, Cllr Thomas Walsh says the junction at Carraroe which connects the R287, R284 and the Old Dublin Road need to be examined as a matter of urgency.

 

The Fine Gael Councillor says with Carraroe national school now at capacity at it is vital that there is a safe crossing linking the Cuilbeg/R284 to the public car park at the school.
