A Sligo Councillor is calling on the local authority to write to the Department of Transport asking them to ensure funds are made available annually for Sligo Airport.
Independent Councillor, Marie Casserly is submitting a motion at today’s meeting on the matter as she says a verbal commitment was given but nothing concrete as of yet.
Capital investment works were carried out recently in order to support the continuation of the Search and Rescue service from the Strandhill base.
