New disabled public toilets are being added to two Sligo beaches.
The public toilets at Rosses Point and Mullaghmore are now open to the public with a disabled toilet already installed at Mullaghmore with one to be installed shortly at Rosses Point.
Funding for works comes under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme.
Cathoirleach of Sligo/Drumcliff Municipal District, Fine Gael Councillor, Thomas Walsh says this is the first time in three years that toilets at Mullaghmore are open following extensive upgrades.
Speaking to OceanFM News, he says both areas were very busy with domestic tourists last year and the numbers this summer are expected to increase.
