The Minister for Further and Higher Education is ‘hopeful’ of receiving an application to establish a Technological University in the north west soon.
Independent Sligo/Leitrim TD, Marian Harkin sought an update on developments with the Connacht/Ulster Alliance in the Dail today with Minister Simon Harris.
If an application is received, an independent, international panel of experts will assess it and give their recommendation.
Speaking in response to Deputy Harkin seeking an update, Minister Harris said if and when an application is received, the government will move quickly.
