It’s expected that the Councillors of the Manorhamilton Municipal District of Leitrim Council will hear concerns at their May meeting in relation to road safety fears at Ballaghameehan National School in Rossinver.
The meeting of the local councillors is scheduled for next Monday.
The school is situated on a busy border cross border route on the R282, and road visibility close to the school is a concern for parents, teachers and the Board of Management of the school.
Fine Gael Councillor Sean McDermott says that signage and sight lines at the school must be improved immediately.
