North West residents urged to turn up as normal for covid vaccinations

Despite the cyber attack on the  HSE computer network   people are being encouraged to turn up for their scheduled vaccine appointment today.

The network has been shut down around the country but the vaccine rollout is not impacted.

Siobhan McEniff, Operation Site Manager at the vaccination centre in the Knocknarea Arena told OceanFM this morning that vaccinations are still going ahead and it’s important people turn up at their scheduled time.

The HSE say they are the victim of a ‘significant ransomware attack’ and shut down their network to protect it.
