Donegal Orthodontic waiting list at crisis level



There are serious failings in the management of the orthodontic waiting lists in Donegal which must be addressed.

 

 

That’s according to the Donegal Sinn Fein TD Pearse Doherty.

 

The Sinn Fein spokesperson on finance has raised the issue with the Minister for Health on a number of occasions he says children are waiting far longer that they should for assessment and treatment.

 

In August last year, it was established that 370 people in Donegal is said to be Grade 4 or Grade 5 in severity, had been waiting at least 6 months for treatment.

 

This figure grew to 441 by December 2020.
