420,000 euro of CEP funding announced for North West



The Government have announced a national fund of €4.5 million to improve community facilities.

 

The allocation will be used to support community groups impacted by Covid-19 and will be distributed under the 2021 Community Enhancement Programme (CEP) will provide small grants designed to assist in the re-opening of facilities such as community centres, parish halls and youth centres.

 

The grants can range up to €10,000.

Almost 160,000 euro will go projects in Donegal, Co Sligo will receive €134,084 while over 129,000 will go to projects in Leitrim.

 

The funds will be administered by the respective Local Community Development Committees.

Local TD and Minister of State Frank Feighan says many community organisations will incur specific costs relating to the re-opening of their facilities, and the grants will benefit community organisations.
