A Sligo/Leitrim TD has backed the decision by the Sunday Independent to drop the former Senator, Eoghan Harris as columnist, over a fake social media account.
Sunday Independent Editor Alan English says he was involved in the running of an anonymous Twitter account, which wasn’t ‘fair and reasonable’.
The publisher says it demands transparency from its contributors.
Mr Harris was a long-time critic of Sinn Féin, and the party’s justice spokesman, Sligo Leitrim TD Martin Kenny, has welcomed yesterday’s decision
