Sligo Mental Health Unit scores high in first inspection



A newly opened mental health centre in Sligo has scored high in the first review of the facility.

The Adult Mental Health Unit based at Sligo University Hospital scored an overall rate of compliance of 88% in a report carried out by the Mental Health Commission.

The commission found there were three moderate risk and one low risk of noncompliance recorded.

The new unit opened in October 2020 replacing the old one in Ballytivnan and can accomodate 25 residents in single ensuite rooms.
