Students need greater protection on accommodation issues.



Independent Donegal Deputy Thomas Pringle says that many third level students have endured serious upheaval and confusion over accommodation issues over the last year.  Deputy Pringle also says the problems are being confounded by the lack of action by the government.

 

A recent bill was recently debated in the Dáil which is hoped will offer students greater protection.

 

The independent Donegal TD says many private landlords and college accommodation providers have treated students in a despicable manner in relation to accommodation since the Covid-19 pandemic began.
