Sligo woman says asthma often disregarded or played down



A young woman with severe asthma says there needs to be much more education about the condition – and other invisible illnesses.

Rachel Murray, from Sligo, is encouraging people to support the Asthma Society of Ireland’s Love Your Lungs fundraiser – which continues as part of Asthma Awareness Week until Saturday.

She says she feels asthma is often disregarded or played down because people aren’t aware of how severe it can be.
