Locally produced documentary on Ireland’s fracking ban released



A locally produced documentary telling the story of how campaigners in the north west helped bring about the ban on fracking in Ireland has been released.

It was produced by Dromahair based Bandit Films with it currently being shown in 20 cinemas across the UK.

‘Groundswell’ was filmed by Strandhill native, Niall Flynn over 10 years in the region and in the US before the lockdown in march 2020 and is available on Bandit Films website.

Speaking to OceanFM News, Producer and Director, Johnny Gogan explains how it came together.
