46 people waiting for a bed in the north west



Sligo University Hospital is among the worst hit today when it comes to those waiting for a bed for the 2nd day in a row.

There are 24 waiting on trolleys or chairs with a further 22 waiting in Letterkenny University Hospital, according to the Irish nurses and Midwives Organisation.

However, this is in stark contrast to Limerick University Hospital where there are 70 patients being forced to wait for a bed; the worst hit nationally.

There are a total of 255 people waiting around the country today and according to the latest information from the HSE, there is 1 critical care bed available in Letterkenny University Hospital and 2 in Sligo University Hospital.
