Major funding announced for Dromahair



Just over two million euro has been has been announced this morning for Dromahair under the Rural Development fund.

 

The funding has been announced Minister Heather Humpreys.

 

 

The development in Dromahair will see the demolition of the former Patton’s Hotel in the centre of the village and the development of a public library and cultural and creative space alongside community facilities with a multipurpose meeting room, exhibition space and hot desking facilities.

 

Dromahair along with Mohill are the only Leitrim towns included in the funding..

 

Meanwhile 2 million euro has also been allocated to Boyle for works to be carried out on the King House Cultural Quarters.

 

In total 75 million euro has been awarded to regenerate buildings in rural Ireland into remote working hubs.

 

 

Minister for state and Sligo Leitrim TD Frank Feighan says Dromahair and Boyle will greatly benefit from the funding.
